i was born with a very weak heart
tried to die a few times but couldn't escape
hours of operations have fixed me up good
now i can run and swim and laugh and cry

tried to die a few more times
fell in a pool and turned into a blue blob
seconds of cpr or something fixed me up good
now i can run and swim and laugh and cry

tried to fall of the roof of my house
fell onto other roofs and onto the pavement
hours of operations fixed me up good
now i can run and swim and laugh and cry

my body has been beat down severly by my own activity
i've fallen off skateboards, balconies, roofs, bikes
they keep sewing it up and putting me back together
and i've got a few more scars to play with

even though i was fine they still wanted to fix me up
which is pretty good stuff if you can swing it
so now i've got strait teeth and ribeye ear
looks pretty good if you can swing it.

don't have much to say
feeling out the days in my own way
breathing in the air and trying to calm the mind
it's a process it's a process i'm doing all the time

yeah i think about home quite a bit
i'd like to be there just for a minute
i'd like to be there just for a minute
smiling faces
girls with short hair
drives in the country
"taste of nirvana"

but i feel i'm getting away from all that
and maybe i'm moving into a different feeling
life is just incredible no matter which way you cut it
life is a miracle no matter which way you cut it.

everything in nature fails when cut at 45 degrees.
